RULES
1. content restrictions: no pedophilia, rape/non-con, or bestiality. tag any/all potential content triggers outside of these properly (a list of common CW's)
2. any rating / genre / length: as long as minimum wc meets at least 747 words and is fleshed out enough to meet prompt requirements
3. no yujin rps: other background pairs are welcome, including gyubrik's romantic entanglements with others but the fic must focus on gyuvin and ricky, as this is a gyubrik-centric fest
4. no plagiarism: only submit your own work. we do not tolerate plagiarism or ai/chatgpt use and will remove your submission if it is discovered
5. no ghosting: we know unexpected developments can crop up and can work around them

FAQ
IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR JOINING?claims end on march 31 — ideally, we want most participants signed up through the form so we can track submissions but we may re-open depending on interest/free prompts available.
HOW DOES POSTING WORK EXACTLY?go to prompts > claim > fulfill. if you post prior to reveals, your work will be hidden until then
CAN I POST WITHOUT CLAIMING?you're free to drop a completed fic without having claimed a prompt as long as you post within the submission period. search for grgfest in ‘post to collections / challenges’ to post
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE AN AO3 ACCOUNT?prompting/claiming through AO3 requires you to have an account. if you still haven't received an ao3 invitation, we can submit prompts on your behalf, but the invitation doesn't usually take long so do be sure check your email inbox periodically
CAN I GET INVOLVED AS A FAN ARTIST?artists can browse the ao3 collection, use our list of general tropes for inspiration, or prompt themselves. they can then tag @gyubrikfest or use the hashtag #gyubrikfest during the fest submission period with their work. nsfw art posted on twitter (if any) must be set to sensitive. check this ask for more info
DO CHAPTERED FICS NEED TO BE COMPLETE BY DEADLINE?chaptered fics do not have to be posted all at once during submissions, WIP's are fine as long as the remaining scenes are planned and there is an intent to complete the fic post-deadline
CAN I STILL POST ON ANON?absolutely! we will, however, still have to ask if you want us to post a fic promotion tweet on your behalf — the same goes for private twitter accounts
CAN I WRITE SWITCH FIC?go ahead! we are only referred to as gyubrikfest on paper, this is a 귭맄귭/gyubrikgub fest
I WANT TO DROP OUT, WHAT DO I DO?not to worry, fest sign-ups aren't binding so just make sure to unclaim your prompt if you want to drop out. if you're struggling for time, we can discuss extensions too
I'M PARTICIPATING IN ANOTHER FEST, CAN I CROSSPOST?if the fest period overlaps with ours and you receive permission from the mods, sure
WHERE CAN I FIND HELP TO EDIT MY WORK?put in a request for a beta reader on the @jbwfic discord server. if you still struggle to find a beta, mods can take a look for final checks
CAN I WRITE MORE THAN ONE FIC?knock yourself out! note that you can only claim another prompt if you've already finished writing your first pick, but you can self prompt as many times as you want
CAN I SWITCH PROMPTS MIDWAY?yes, simply drop your claim and pick up a free prompt if you're sure you can get it completed
